Los Angeles Clippers 103, Phoenix Suns 86

The Clippers shot 50% from the floor and they played great defense too in holding the Suns to 37.5% from the floor and those were the biggest reasons for the win last night.  Blake Griffin led the way for the Clippers last night with 27 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Chris Paul (15 points, 5 rebounds, 15 assists and 2 steals), Caron Butler (14 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist) and DeAndre Jordan (13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Clippers last night.  The Clippers are now 29-21 on the year.

The Los Angeles Clippers need Nick Young to step up

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Need to Step Up by admin on Wednesday 28 March 2012 at 6:39 pm

The Clippers need 26-year old shooting guard Nick Young to step up.  He has played in 6 games (3 starts) for the Clippers so far and he is averaging 29.0 minutes, 12.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game.  Young is only shooting 37.7% from the floor, 33.3% from the three point line and 90.5% from the free throw line so far in his time with the Clippers.  With Mo Williams down to injury, the Clippers really need Young to pick up the slack offensively.

The Los Angeles Clippers will be without Mo Williams for a couple of weeks

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by admin on Tuesday 27 March 2012 at 1:33 pm

29-year old PG/SG Mo Williams will miss at least the next two weeks due to a toe injury.  Williams has played in 44 games (1 start) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 28.8 minutes, 13.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game.  The Clippers will likely move Randy Foye to the point when Chris Paul needs a breather.  The Clippers hope that Williams will be ready to return after a couple weeks of rest as he is very important to the team.

The Clippers shot 50% from the floor and it helped them overcome the fact that they were outrebounded 38-23 last night.  Chris Paul led the way for the Clippers last night with 25 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals.  Blake Griffin also had a  rock solid game with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals last night.  Nick Young pitched in with 17 points and 1 steal in 24 minutes on the floor.  The Clippers are now 28-21 on the year.

The Los Angeles Clippers sign Bobby Simmons for the rest of the year

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General by admin on Sunday 25 March 2012 at 10:54 pm

The Clippers have signed 31-year old small forward Bobby Simmons for the rest of this season.  Simmons has played in 13 games (0 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 19.5 minutes, 3.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.  He is only shooting 30.8% from the floor so far for the Clippers.  Even though he has not played well so far this year, I still like this move for the Clippers.
