The Clippers only shot 36.5% last Tuesday in Salt Lake City, so it comes as no surprise that they were thrashed by the Jazz.  Caron Butler (14 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) and Courtney Fortson (13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 23 minutes on the floor) led the way for the Clippers in this game.  Randy Foye (11 points, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot), Blake Griffin (10 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 blocked shot) and Chauncey Billups (10 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists) also pitched in for the Clippers in this game.  The Clippers are now 7-4 on the year.

The Clippers outrebounded the Clippers 46-35 last night and it helped them win.  Blake Griffin led the way for the Clippers last night with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Caron Butler (20 points,  6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals) and Chauncey Billups (20 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists) also pitched in with really solid games last night.  Randy Foye started at point guard for the Clippers in place of the injured Chris Paul (hamstring) and he finished up with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots.  DeAndre Jordan filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 4 blocked shots.  The Clippers are now 7-3 on the season.

The Clippers outrebounded the Lakers 50-42 last night and it was a big reason for the very nice home win.  Chris Paul (33 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals) and Blake Griffin (22 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Clippers last night.  Chauncey Billups also had a solid game with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists for the Clippers.  Caron Butler (13 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) and Randy Foye (10 points and 2 rebounds) also had solid games for the Clippers.  The Clippers are now 6-3 on the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers have lofty goals for the 2011-12 season, so they won’t likely have much P.T. for their rookies.  21-year old power forward Trey Thompkins has played in 4 games (0 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 7.3 minutes, 3.3 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.  21-year old shooting guard Travis Leslie has only played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 4.5 minutes per game.  Leslie has scored 2 points and he has 1 rebound so far this year for the Clippers.

The Clippers outscored the Heat 9-3 in overtime last night and they held them to 39.5% shooting from the floor, which were the big reasons for the win.  Chris Paul led the way for the Clippers in this game with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 3 steals.  Caron Butler (20 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist) and Blake Griffin (20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had really good games for the Clippers in this game.  Chauncey Billups only shot 2 for 11 from the floor and he still finished up with 12 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists and 2 steals.  DeAndre Jordan was a beast in the paint for the Clippers last night with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocked shots in this year.  The Clippers are now 5-3 on the year.

The Clippers didn’t play good D last night as the Blazers shot 51.4% from the floor in this game and it really hurt them.  Caron Butler (20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists), Chauncey Billups (19 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists) and Blake Griffin (18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Clippers last night.  Mo Williams (14 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal) and Chris Paul (11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals) also pitched in for the Clippers in this game.  The Clippers are now 4-3 on the year.

31-year old shooting guard Caron Butler is off to a solid start for the Clippers so far this year.  He has played in 6 games (all starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 34.0 minutes, 14.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game.  Butler is the #4 option offensively for the Clippers behind Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups….but he’s just fine with that.  Butler is a glue type of player who plays hard at both ends of the court.  He was one of the better additions that the Clippers made to the roster after the lockout was lifted.

The Clippers shot 57.3% from the floor last night as they smashed the Rockets in L.A.  Blake Griffin (22 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot) and Chris Paul (20 points, 2 rebounds, 10 assists and 3 steals) led the way for the Clippers in this game.  Randy Foye pitched in with 16 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal in only 19 minutes on the floor in this game.  Chauncey Billups (13 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists) and Caron Butler (11 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal) also helped out last night for the Clippers.  The Clippers are now 3-2 on the year.

22-year old power forward Blake Griffin is off to a blazing start this year for the Los Angeles Clippers.  He has played in 4 games (all starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 36.8 minutes, 26.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.  He is shooting 54.8% from the floor so far this year, as his range is starting to expand.  Griffin is the go-to man on the Clippers and Chris Paul will likely be feeding him the ball quite a bit this year.
