The Clippers were outrebounded 42-34 last night but what really killed them in thsi game was not showing up at all in the 3rd quarter.  In the third quarter the Clippers were outscored 30-13!  Blake Griffin led the way for the Clippers in this game with 30 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Eric Gordon (19 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and DeAndre Jordan (14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 7 blocked shots) also had solid games for the Clippers last night.  Al Farouq-Aminu pitched in with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal off the bench.  The Clippers are now 10-23 on the year.

The Clippers hit the boards hard last night outrebounding the Kings 48-34 and it really helped them pull this game out.  Eric Gordon led the way for the Clippers in this game with 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in this game.  Blake Griffin was solid as usual with 24 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Baron Davis (11 points) and Al Farouq-Aminu (11 points) also helped out offensively in this game.  The Clippers are now 10-22 on the year.

DeAndre Jordan is playing well this month for the Los Angeles Clippers

22-year old center DeAndre Jordan is really playing well this month for the Clippers.  With Chris Kaman out of action due to injury the Clippers needed Jordan to step up and he has played pretty well in December.  Jordan has played in 13 games so far in December and he is averaging 27.1 minutes, 7.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.5 blocked shots per game.  He is shooting an amazing 68.3% from the floor in December but only 38.5% from the free throw line as most of his shots come on putbacks and dunks.  Jordan has now played in 31 games (22 starts) so far this year for the Clippers and he is averaging 22.4 minutes, 6.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game.  The Clippers are considering dealing Kaman because they think Jordan is ready for prime time.

The Clippers shot 53.3% from the floor and they outrebounded the Suns 40-33 and that helped them win today.  Blake Griffin led the way as usual with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in this game.  Eric Gordon (24 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Baron Davis (15 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had good games.  Randy Foye pitched in with 10 points and 3 assists in 17 minutes on the floor.  The Clippers are now 9-22 on the season.

The Clippers gave a good effort last night before falling just a tad short in the end.  Blake Griffin led the way for the Clippers last night with 24 points, 18 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot.  Eric Gordon also had a solid offensive game with 18 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  DeAndre Jordan was electric last night for the Clippers as he finished up with 14 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.  The Clippers are now 8-22 on the season.

The four rookies on the Clippers are playing pretty solid basketball so far this year.  21-year old power forward Blake Griffin is the main man on the Clippers so far this year.  He has played in 29 games (all starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 36.5 minutes, 20.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.  Griffin is shooting 51.6% from the floor with a lot of his shots being impressive dunks displayed a lot on SportsCenter.  He does need to improve his free throw shooting though as he is only hitting 57% from the charity stripe so far this year.  21-year old point guard Eric Bledsoe is pushing veteran Baron Davis.  Bledsoe has played in 29 games (22 starts) so far this year for the Clippers and he is averaging 27.4 minutes, 7.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.  He also has a bright future.  20-year  old small forward Al-Farouq Aminu has also had his moments so far this year.  Aminu has played in 28 games (14 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 17.3 minutes, 6.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.  Aminu is only shooting 42.9% from the floor so far this year but a simply amazing 48.3% from three point range.  21-year old shooting guard Willie Warren hasn’t gotten to play much this season.  Warren has played in 12 games (0 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 8.8 minutes, 2.4 points, 0.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.  The Clippers had two great drafts in a row to build a foundation for the future.

The Los Angeles Clippers have signed 27-year old forward Ike Diogu.  Diogu last played in the NBA in 2008-09 with the Blazers & Kings and he averaged 7.4 minutes, 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game.  Diogu has now played in 187 games (18 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 12.4 minutes, 6.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.  Diogu will replace Craig Smith as Blake Griffin’s backup.

The Los Angeles Clippers will be without backup forward Craig Smith for at least the next two weeks due to a herniated disk in his back.  Smith has played in 24 games (0 starts) for the Clippers so far this year and he is averaging 13.8 minutes, 5.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.  Smith is shooting 58.3% from the floor as he has really played well behind Blake Griffin so far this year.

The Clippers shot 51.8% from the floor last night and they outrebounded the T-Wolves 56-33 as they really came to play for once!   Eric Gordon led the way for the Clippers last night with 36 points, 1 rebound, 6 assists and 5 steals.  Blake Griffin (22 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal) and Ryan Gomes (22 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals) also had great games for the Clippers last night.  The Clippers are now 8-21 on the season.

The Clippers shot 50.7% in this game and it was a big reason why they held off the Bulls for a nice road win.  Blake Griffin led the way as usual for the Clippers last night with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists.  Baron Davis got the start at the point and he was solid with 16 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Eric Gordon filled up the stat sheet in this game with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.  But, Gordon also turned the ball over 7 times last night.  Craig Smith (13 points) and Rasual Butler (11 points) really helped the cause off the bench for the Clippers last night.  The Clippers are now 7-21 on the season.
