The Los Angeles Clippers look decent at the point
31-year old Baron Davis is still in charge of the Clippers’ offense. He played in 75 games (73 starts) for the Clippers last season and he averaged 33.6 minutes, 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Davis has now played in 748 games (634 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 35.2 minutes, 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game. The Clippers need Davis to either shoot better (40.9% from the floor, 31.9% from three point range) or they need him to pass the ball more, plain and simple.
20-year old rookie Eric Bledsoe will likely be Davis’ caddy in 2010-11. Bledsoe played in 37 games at Kentucky last season and he averaged 30.3 minutes, 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Having a veteran in front of him will allow the Clippers to break Bledsoe in slowly.
