The Los Angeles Clippers sign Baron Davis

The Los Angeles Clippers have signed point guard Baron Davis to a 5-year, $65 million dollar contract. Davis played in 82 games (all starts) for the Warriors last season and he averaged 39.0 minutes, 21.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game. The question here is who will Davis be passing to now that Elton Brand and Corey Maggette have both left town? That will be interesting to see. Davis has now played in 608 games (501 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game. This was still a good signing for the Clippers but they better get some more players to put around Davis.

It was definately about the money and getting to play at home in L.A. But, if he wanted to win he would have stayed with the Warriors.
