With Elton Brand out until after the new year the Clippers needed someone to provide muscle in the paint and Chris Kaman has stepped up….big time! Kaman has played in 13 games so far this season and he has averaged 38.1 minutes, 18.6 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.5 blocked shots per game. If Kaman can keep up this pace until Brand can return the Clippers will probably make the playoffs.

The Clippers will be without Corey Maggette for the next 2-3 weeks due to a hamstring injury. Maggette has played in 8 games (all starts) this season for the Clippers and he has averaged 19.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. This will hurt the Clippers a little bit but Ruben Patterson is capable of putting up some numbers.

The Clippers played an outstanding game last night as they outrebounded the Pacers (53-40) and they held them to 38.6% shooting from the floor. The Clippers pretty much won this game in the third quarter when they outscored the Pacers 32-14. Sam Cassell had a monster game for the Clippers with 35 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. Corey Maggette pitched in with 18 points and 3 rebounds. Center Chris Kaman had another incredible game with 15 points, 22 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. The Clippers are now 4-0 on the season.

Cuttino Mobley led the way for the Clippers with 33 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. Corey Maggette also had a solid game with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Chris Kaman had another outstanding game in the paint with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Clippers are now 3-0 on the season.

The Clippers rose up in the 4th quarter and took this game as they outscored the Sonics 37-25 in the final stanza. Corey Maggette led the way for the Clippers with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Tim Thomas also had a solid game with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Chris Kaman also had another solid game in the paint with 10 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocked shots. The Clippers are now 2-0 on the season with this win.

Cuttino Mobley made a lot of big shots down the stretch as he finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Tim Thomas was amazing off of the bench with 20 points and 5 rebounds in only 21 minutes. The Clippers are now 1-0 on the season.
