The Los Angeles Clippers sign forward Josh Powell
The Clippers have signed forward Josh Powell to a 3-year contract as they needed another forward with Elton Brand out for a large chunk of the season. He played in 37 games (0 starts) last season for the Pacers and Warriors and he averaged 9.5 minutes, 3.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He also shot the ball pretty well as he hit 46.2% of his shots from the floor and 71.4% from the free throw line last season.
Powell has now played in 74 NBA games (2 starts) in his career and he has averaged 10.6 minutes, 3.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. He has made 46% of his career shots from the floor and 75.9% of his free throws. Don’t expect Powell to perform miracles in LA this season.
