Sam Cassell replaces Shaun Livingston in the starting lineup

Blogged under Big Clippers News,Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 22 January 2007 at 12:23 pm

Shaun Livingston had his chance to be the starting point guard for the Clippers but the offense struggled under his direction. He still is a very talented player that will play alot of minutes off the bench, but the team needed a move to jump start the rest of the season and Sam Cassell will probably give them that. Cassell is averaging 14.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists and he will improve on those numbers as a starter. Livingston averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. So he didn’t play poorly but he also didn’t excel the way may thought he would when inserted in the starting lineup. But he has time on his side as he’s still very young. But the Clippers time is now, thus the move back to Cassell.
